Ironman & paintings. Gratitude 365 – week 19

Counting my daily blessings, forgetting not His benefits, surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life.

Day 127. 6 May. Sunday.   Celebrating  joyfully with flag dance. So wonderful to see little children as well as adults being joyful!

Day 128. 7 May. Monday  A beautiful morning hike with friends at MacRitchie Reservoir.

Followed by lunch of stir-fried beef hor fun and har cheong kai ( prawn paste chicken) at a nearby coffee shop.

Day 129. 8 May. Tuesday.  I am invited to gift a painting as a going away present to a US intern.

Raining Stars. The galaxy does exit above Singapore but because of the light pollution, I have never seen it. Similarly the mysteries of God does exist but our naked eyes may not have seen them because of the noise around us.

God has prepared things for those who love him that no eye has seen, or ear has heard, or that haven’t crossed the mind of any human being. God has revealed these things to us through the Spirit. The Spirit searches everything, including the depths of God.” 1 Cor 2; 9-10

Day 130. 9 May 2018. Wednesday.  Preparing to go to Vietnam with my son for his first Ironman triathlon race. His seat tube seized and could not be packed into the bike bag. We brought the bike to a repair shop and they took 3 men and a lot of elbow grease to wring it out.

It’s a wonderful privilege to be able to be actively engaged in a teenager and young adult’s interest. The rewards of parenting love.

Day 131. 10 May, Thursday.     Flying off to Danang Vietnam!

Beautiful sunset view from the plane

Welcome to Ironman DaNang!
The bike box required special check in for odd size sports equipment. Disassembly and assembly required.

Day 132. 11 May. Friday.    Checked out the Ironman expo site and beach, touring Da Nang town, a recce ride on the right side of the road.

Day 133. 12 May. Saturday.   Soaking in the local sights of Danang with a visit to the museum, market and beach.

Panorama of Da Nang beach, site of the swim segment and finish
