Counting my daily blessings, forgetting not His benefits, surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life.
Day 134. 13 May, Sunday. RACE DAY! So much excitement. There was concerns about the huge swells of water and the organisers had a plan B which was to cancel the swim segment. Needless to say the competitors were on the one hand concerned about safety yet on the other a little disappointed that they would not be able to swim and complete the full Ironman after all the months of training. In the morning the decision was made to proceed with the swim as the swells were not too dangerous then.
Completing his first international triathlon in 3rd position is pretty excellent!
Day 135. 14 May. Monday We took a taxi to the UNESCO Imperial city of Hue, about 100 km from DaNang. It was constructed based off the design of the Forbidden City in Beijing.
Day 135. 15 May. Wednesday. We took a trip to Hoi An, about 30 km south of Da Nang. It too is a UNESCO ancient town.
Day 136. 16 May. Wednesday.
Back home to savour the memories, the pride, the joy and fellowship, the souvenirs – including the coffee! Drip filter to continue with the pleasure.
Day 137. 17 May. Thursday. Utilising a free voucher for lunch. Grilled fish and baked cheese chicken rice with ice cream. Who says there’s no free lunch?
Day 138. 18 May. Friday. I had been away for so long that my email box collected over 300 messages. I spent the day clearing most of them.
Day 139. 19 May. Saturday. I had been invited for platform painting as part of worship at Good Gifts City Church. This would be my 2nd time at painting live. It is always an exciting experience to receive a download and express that message.
“He gives His beloved sleep” A baby sound asleep in the middle of a rose representing the multiple layer of His love, grace, provision, protection. Based on Psalm 127:2 It is useless for you to rise up early, to sit up late, to eat the bread of sorrows: for so he gives his beloved sleep.
